Detachable photograph postcard book showing the Sisters of Notre-Dame school in Bastogne, Brussels, circa 1910-1920s. Photos by Ern. Thill, Brussels. Captions in French. Printed blue card covers. Most all of these 27 postcards have their original tissue guard. No postcards appear to be missing. Measures 9 x 15 cm. First postcard is detached and has penciled nun's name on verso. Photographs show various interior and exterior views of this school, including the library, chemistry lab, music room, home economics kitchen, chapels, classrooms, art rooms, etc. The Sisters of Notre-Dameran this Catholic primary and secondary school in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in this small town in the mountainous Ardennes region of Belgium, near the Luxembourg border. The town was the scene of fierce fighting during the last year of World War II and it is possible that this school is the same educational facility as the present day Institut Notre-Dame in Bastogne. Not found in WorldCat, COPAC or The European Library. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall

A leporello tourist souvenir featuring five color lithograph illustrations of Norwegian Folk Costumes after photographs by F. Beyer of Christiana (as Oslo, Norway was known from 1624-1924) , taken in 1891. The illustrations are mounted on cardboard and fold out accordion-style from green cloth boards with elaborate black and gilt botanical design on front. The title of this leporello is in Danish, but the captions for each costumed figure are in English and German. The five costumes shown are for a married man, married woman, young girl, bride and bride and bridegroom together. Measures 17.5 x 11.5 cm. Illustrations fold out to a length of 50 cm.
