Reddish brown cloth bindings with dulled gilt lettering on spines. Owner signature and beautiful engraved wild turkey bookplate on front endpapers, boards lightly worn, owner writing on front flyleaf and title page of Vol. I, spine cracked in Vol. I. 874 pages in total. Bookplate belonged to "M. R. Audubon" and M. R.' s signature is also present in both volumes. I believe M. R. Audubon is Maria R. Audubon, a John James Audubon's descendant who edited Audubon's journals, which were published by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1892. Lb; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
