The Down Town Association, located at 60 Pine Street in Manhattan, is one of the oldest private clubs in the country. Founded in 1859 and still in operation today, this 1947 membership list includes Charles A. Dana, John Jacob Astor, Archibald Roosevelt, Laurance S. North Pole Town souvenir booklet describing the highlights of this Christmas-themed amusement park in the hamlet of North Pole, town of Wilmington, New York. Circa 1950s. Printed in color on heavy card stock folded in half lengthwise. When folded, measures 8.5 x 11.75 inches. This Adirondacks attraction was opened in 1949 and was one of the first theme parks in America. It is still in operation. Front cover shows a Santa with a spectacularly fake-looking beard hand feeding an albino deer.
